About the Nickelodeon

A nickelodeon was an early 20th century form of a small neighborhood movie theater. Sometimes it was nothing more than a storefront and a bunch of hard chairs. Back when the average worker made 22 cents an hour, one nickel’s admission would give you access to continuously running movies throughout the day – usually about 15-20 minutes each on a wide variety of topics and stories.

The Nickelodeon at Pickler’s is an intimate theater space for watching film, holding events and making memories. Fully equipped with an 8-foot tall movie screen, THX surrounds sound system and flexible seating for up to 50 people, it’s the perfect atmosphere for your next birthday party, club meeting, videoconference, private function or any other event to gather friends and family in an elegant, cozy atmosphere.

At Pickler’s Famous, The Nick is where we show films outside of what you’ll find in most commercial theaters. Don’t worry about the carpet – any food or drink you purchase downstairs or in the lobby is welcome inside.
